Phillips, of Biblical Christianity, May 03, 2006"Time would fail me to tell of thirty-two English translations, plus versions in twenty-two other modern languages. Now, free tools such as the valuable E-Sword also have a lot of free versions. What they don't have is the Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic resources built in to BW7...I'm very enthused about this version, and heartily recommend it to any serious student, particularly to anyone who's a student of the original languages. It is an amazing resource, a treasure house."Read full review.Web log for the Bible Software Review, run by Rubn Gmez, June 24, 2006Read full review and comparison of Accordance 7, Bibleworks 7, Logos 3.BibleWorks reviews collected by Bibleworks.com, 2006Read reviews.BibleWorks 6 Review by Dave Sunman, Eden.co.uk, November 2004"BibleWorks 6 is a comprehensive, versatile and incredibly powerful tool that will enable anyone to search through any of a large number of Bible versions for individual words, combinations of words appearing in the same verse, alternative words, phrases and just about any other combination that can be thought of. Searches are easy to set up and very quick". Bibleworks For Mac Free Download

FREE TRIAL DOWNLOAD We are sorry but no free, or trial versions are available for this software title. Cheaper earlier versions may be available or you may purchase and return your product unopened, uninstalled for a refund. Some products may have a manufacturer satisfaction warranty of up to 60 days which we/they will honour. On some products we offer a 30 day exchange for another similar or better product or guarantee up to a 90 day 90% credit upgrade to an improved or superior software title. On some products competitive upgrade pricing or part-exchange may be available. To date, the size of the BibleWorks program (over 12GB, compressed, for BibleWorks 9) has mitigated against its being made available by download. A 12GB fileset would take 9 hours to download at 3 Mbps (the 2010 average download speed). At 1.5 Mbps it would take 18 hours, and at 768 Kbps it would take 35 hours. As more customers gain access to wide broadband connections, BibleWorks will increasingly consider making distribution by download to client computers available as an option. No matter what connection speed a user has, in addition, users will want to back up their installation files. A 12GB backup poses significant requirements (DVD-Rs hold only 4GB per disc).A thin-client (cloud) version of BibleWorks poses other challenges. Experiments so far indicate such a version would incur unacceptable performance penalties. In addition, protection of the copyrighted databases included in BibleWorks is more difficult in such a version. Because of these two challenges, BibleWorks currently assesses the cost of maintaining a separate thin-client version so significant that it would drive the overall end-user cost of BibleWorks to unacceptable levels. Should future technology advances permit a single version to be used cost-effectively in both thick- and thin-client modes, or should thin-client architecture in the future substantially supplant thick-client applications, BibleWorks will then offer a thin-client version. BibleWorks is announcing today that users can download a FREE installer that allows Mac users to run BibleWorks on their machines. I thought you might want to post this on your website/blog. NO VM software required! NO Windows license needed! If you have the latest BW9 DVDs (rev 3), there is no additional cost to run the native version of BibleWorks 9 on a Mac. Registered users with earlier BW9 versions can purchase replacement rev.3 DVDs for $25.

... for anyone wishing to study the Biblical languages in depth, this program is a dream come true. }Dr. Moisés Silva Scores of Bible translations, original-language texts and major reference works. A powerful search engine unsurpassed for speed and ease of use. Tightly-integrated resources that save time and allow you to work more efficiently. For more, visit bibleworks.com BibleWorks 7

One reason to use BibleWorks might be speed. BibleWorks is faster than its competitors, especially on older computers. I run the free Logos 6 engine on my Windows 7 laptop. BW 10 loads in 10 seconds or under. Logos needs 45-60 seconds longer to load. Searches in Logos take longer than BW, too. If an analogy helps, you could say in Windows BibleWorks is a Maserati; Logos is a Cadillac Escalade. Both are fantastic, but with different purposes. Thankfully, BW can run on Mac too.

1. E-Sword HD - $4.99 for Iphone, $9.99 for Mac, free for PC - This is the best Bible app available for Iphone, Ipad, Mac, Windows and IOS devices. There are some more advanced and more expensive options for PC and OS X such as Bibleworks, Logos and Accordance but I find the features on E-Sword more than sufficient for going deep. Also, if you purchase one of the paid Bible packages, such as NASB or MSG you can enter the same key on all of your E-Sword - Iphone, Ipad, and Mac OS X and it will work just fine.

3. Bethel - We love Bethel church and we love to be inspired by what God is up to in Redding. Hear teachings from Bill Johnson and the team from this free app. You can also login to your Bethel.TV account if you have one.

4. Podcasts - Apple products have podcasts built in and you can find sermons by just about anyone. On Android download Pocket Cast for $3.99 for the best finding and listening to podcasts. On Mac & Windows use Itunes.

Try out Accordance for free. If you like what you see, then give one of their Collections a try. They start at $59.90 for a very basic library and tools. Their Pro level collections cost $999. They also offer deals for former Bibleworks and Wordsearch users.

Bible study users love e-Sword if for no other reason than it's free. You can buy recently published books for the program, but you can also get a useful library of Bibles, Greek and Hebrew texts, Commentaries, Dictionaries, and more for nothing.

While you can download and install e-Sword for free, you should also consider buying upgrade modules from eStudySource.com. You can buy more modern translations of the Bible, commentaries published in the last few decades like New International Commentary on the Old and New Testament (NICOT/NICNT). These books often cost much less than the other companies charge in our roundup. For example, the NICOT costs $130 as of this article's publishing date. The NICNT also costs $130. Compare that to $400 at Accordance or nearly $1000 at Logos.

Like e-Sword, PocketBible offers a simpler user interface than the others. You can easily and quickly get up and running with a fast download server. Also, search for the books you install with lightning speed.

Potential buyers can try out Logos for free. However, you can also buy one of a slew of packages that you buy ranging from $300 to over $10,000. They also offer packages based on your Christian tradition, like Baptist, Verbum for Catholics, Anglican, Lutheran, and others.

The basic book reader costs nothing to download from the various app stores. However, you can buy books to add. They offer something called Study Packs, which are collections of books. They bunch the packs around a translation (NIV, ESV, or NKJV) instead of levels like other publishers. Each pack has that translation, a study Bible and some reference tools.

Students can download a free version of Accordance called Accordance Lite with customizeable options available. Software works for MacOS, Windows, iOS and Android operating systems. Below is a sample image of Accordance software on a Mac computer: 2ff7e9595c
